Two Million Reached
Some good news today. With your support, Water.org has reached more than two million people with access to safe water and sanitation. This is a reason to celebrate because water gives women time and opportunity, it gives kids a chance to go to school, and it gives communities a brighter a future. Thank you for making our life-changing work possible.
Water.org continues to expand its programs to new geographies including Indonesia. In a country where a quarter of the rural population lacks access to an improved water source, and more than half of that population lacks safe sanitation facilities, there is enormous potential for WaterCredit to empower people to invest in life changing water connections and toilets. Water.org recently opened an office in Jakarta, and in April our first local partner started lending for water and sanitation facilities.
